Introductory video conference
The video contains shots of art studios of the Arts Center of the Palacky University Olomouc (Czech Republic, Europe). A Baroque building of the former Jesuit monastery dating back to the 16th century – today the base of the instruction of Art Education, History of Art, Film and Theatre Studies, Television Studies, Music Education, and Musicology – is currently without students. In conjunction with the situation regarding the spread of the COVID-19 virus, university management suspended all contact classes from 11 March 2020 on the basis of emergency governmental measures. So let's move on to cyberspace!

„The promo videos for the conference are based on the main topic of the conference, our recent past but also the present.
One day in March, students went to their schools but they were locked due to pandemic of coronavirus. The physical spaces of schools were empty but students and teachers did not disappear. They moved from the real world to digital platforms. So thanks to the unpleasant and bad situation, that the coronavirus created, we have opened a door to the new field of education. It brings many questions and challenges. It’s up to us how we deal with it.“

Trailer & Teaser for international virtual conference were made by Ph.D. candidates of the Department of Art Education, Faculty of Education, Palacký University Olomouc, David Bartoš & Robin Michenka. Both of them are teachers at secondary art school as well. Besides that, they are focused on audio-visual production and filmmaking under their own brand called NAKAMERÔ.
